    Aficio 2035e

I have a Aficio 2035e that says wast toner full. I cleaned out the drum assy waste toner area and it still says "wast toner full" Is there a code I need to reset this? Am I doing it wrong? Thanks. Scott

On the back side of the transfer unit theres a sensor, take it out and clean its surface, it fixed with one screw, easy to take out. dont disable the SP.

Thanks for the reply but that didn't work. According to the SP menu there is no 2-960. I tried to punch it in manually and it wouldn't take it. I scrolled through the menu and couldn't find it. As the machine sits the printer light on the left is on and red, and across the screen it says call service waste toner full. I scrolled through the printer SP codes and couldn't fine anything. to get to where I was I pressed the clearmodes 1 0 7 and then stop. Is this the right area I needed to be in to be able to get the 2-960? Thanks. Scott

When you say you cleaned out the drum assembly waste area, does that mean you dismantled the PCU and vacced out the recycle coil?

Because if you did I'm not surprised if you're still getting the code.

What you need to do is take out the transfer unit, take the transfer belt off the waste toner hopper. Undo the six screws and empty that hopper.

If that's what you did originally then look at the bottom back of the PCU/Transfer door, there's a harness with a red connector, make sure that is connected and not piched/frayed etc.

Thanks for the help guys. I didn't know that that collection bin was there. You saved my day. I took the transfer unit out and cleaned the bin and sensor and she's happy again. Scott
