mpc 4500 paper jam in tray 1

the mpc 4500 paper jam in tray 1, paper not arrive the REGISTRATION SENSOR，i replace all all the paper rubbing wheel in tray ，after copy 10pics it will jam ererytime， i suspect the MULTI-PURPOS（i do not konw english is this in chinses means 离合器 ） not working.anyone have suggestion?

When you replace the feed rolllers and still the same problem. Check and also replace these 19. AB01 1218 Gear - Roller Clutch or 15. AB01 1252 Gear - 20Z.

Based on what you said - it's a feed unit Tray 1 failure. You can always try to rebuild it but from my experience not worth a try. Replace a feed unit tray 1 and enjoy printing without jamming. These type of problems occur every week - feed units fail like crazy - especially Tray1 because it is a Default tray for printing.
Part # is the same as for MPC4000 type - D0292751or D0292752.

Replace first the gears before changing the whole unit coz the feed unit is more expensive.

Based on what you said - it's a feed unit Tray 1 failure. You can always try to rebuild it but from my experience not worth a try. Replace a feed unit tray 1 and enjoy printing without jamming. dismantle the feed unit and Put a small washer on the end of the pickup roller shaft between the gear and the black actuator it fixes the problem of the play between the pickup roller and the white plastic cover on the end that covers the pick up and feed roller.
