    [Jamming] MPC 5000

I have a mpc5000 that gets a lot of fuser jams on letter size. It only happens when they print full page photos. I have tried anther fuser still the same. Thicker paper works fine. Does anyone know of any adjustments or bullitions.

You can try to adjust the entrance guide of the Fusing Unit.

MPC5000's aren't built to run heavy solids, the fusers just aren't solid enough. Run thick paper on thick setting 3 and it'll run a *little* happier.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

What he said. Nobody seems to understand that these machines are meant to do business colour, not fancy-pants artwork.

I refer you to skyshots in days of yore.

You can also try and adjust the stripper guide plate to be closer to the roller, yes it will probaly wear the fuser roller down quicker, but not that much quicker.
You can also adjust the exit guide that levers open to sit closer to the fuser rollers, but be carefull, if you adjsut too close the machine will make a noise in a couple of days due to the toner building up on the guide and rubbing on the rollers.
I have adjusted many fusers with very good results using this method, however as the other guys have said it is an office colour device at the end of the day.

            Good luck!

This is a known problem with this product. You will need to adjust the erase on your margins. Try these 2 bulletins - they will help some.

I would try to increase the printer erase margin to 5.0 in SP2103-1 and 2103-2 for lead edge and trail edge. In this way, it will have 2mm margin gap to separate paper from jamming.
