    [Misc] SR 850 Finisher not stapling last page, 20 or more pages.

    Hi guys,
    Lanier LD-151 with SR-850 finisher, when stapling more than 20 pages the last few pages don't get stapled. It looks like the last pages are not aligned and the staple misses them. When stapling fewer than 10 pages all the pages are aligned and it staples correctly.
    I have tried a brand new staple cartridge.

      Here's a couple of simple things to check that I see from time to time:
      If non-stapled prints come out of the machine aren't fairly flat, that is a problem with the paper. There is a limited space in the staple tray, and if the paper isn't flat enough to fit, the last few sheets will end up not aligned and not get stapled. Based on the information you gave, that is most likely the problem.
      The other thing is if you look at the interior of the finisher, to the right of the tray where paper gets stacked to be stapled there is a foam roller on a pivoting bracket. That roller is responsible for aligning the paper for proper stapling. If the foam tire has separated from the plastic hub, that can cause the sheets of paper to be misaligned, causing pages to be not stapled. As the LD151 is kind of an older machine now, you'll probably want to look at that too.

          The sponge roller was OK,
          I operated the finisher with the door open and sure enough the paper was curled inside the stapling tray ! Later discovered that the new office manager ordered cheap paper !
