    MPC 2500

Anyone know how to change the serial number (electronic) on an MPC 2500? I changed the conroller board, but it only changed meters.

No offense, but why would you want to do it?

He changed the controller board, probably with the NVRAM on from another machine as it changed the meters.

Off the top of my head I'm going to say 5811-002. Then RTFM.

what's the sp mode in the factory default?

Clear mode,1 4 3, red button twice, hold it down.

              What sp to change it?

hey that means we get to charge the end user who f**k up their copiers plus the idiot charge. Really kannuki2 this mode can make the copier into a boat anchor very easily, that's why this is not broadcasted in the open.

I thought it was clear 147 147 and user tools.
Why do they call it common sense?

Well sh*t. Did not mean to start an issue. Oh, notice the 3rd character in the second word. Those who know will know what I mean. Anyway, I had a friend who moved a copier who needed my help after it went for a ride on its own. Thats why i asked about the serial # and meters. I have never done this before. But since it was their machine, I figured if thats what they want, what the heck. I have serviced Ricohs since 83, but have been away from it for some time now. I thought the nvram was on the controller board. Well there is one on the controller board. It only changed the meters, which prompted my post. Later I found the other nvram on the BICU. That changed the serial number. All is well in the land of OZ. Thanks to all who responded.

To be fair, replying with a quotation duplicated the fuck-up so you're equally answerable now.
