    RXOP to update Java cards

Anybody had any luck using RXOP to remotely update Java cards yet?

The documentation downright sucks, and I'm really not willing to lunch one or more cards just to figure it out.

    Thanks

Have'nt used RXOP, but upgraded manually couple times. Kind of like the first time you upgrade @remote manually, do what they say, hope for the best. Did that today with an HP 4730 MFP. Whoo it worked ... firmware was from '05.....upgraded to 2/2012

Re: RXOP to update Java cards

Unfortunately, I've got about a dozen or so scattered around the US to update.

Seems that the GW+ machines mostly shipped with very old versions, and those don't place nice with eCopy embedded. While I can initially attach them to the eCopy server, they fall off quite easily, and can be a real picnic to re-acquire. Ugg.

While I could place calls to have techs go out and flash them using an SD drive, I'm trying not to do that.

Experience has taught me that not all our techs are up on flashing the cards, and I get some pushback from that. I actually had one tech somehow manage to hose not only the Java card, but the much costlier PostScript card (don't ask...) as well.

      Thanks.
