    MPC 305 SPF touch screen problem

    Got a friend who buyed this model, after 2 mounths the touch screen doesn't work no more, there is no SC or error on restart i can see all icons, the keys are working, the machine can print and scan from pc.
    Any ideeas ? .The lcd have same colour like it was new.

    We have only just got this model in, so this may be inaccurate, but have you tried doing a calibration? Yellow clear key, 1, 9, 9, 3, red button five times. If so you may need to replace the membrane.

      No, i forget to do that test i will do it tomorrow.That test is for inaccurate pointing and when u change the panel if i remember.
      The machine is a new one like u said, i told my friend not to buy it, but he like it becouse is smaller then others ricoh colors and have all functions.

          There is new firmware for this problem (Tech Bulletin # D117/D118-007). LCDC firmware versions 1.18.1 and 1.18.2. They must be done in order.

            That firmware is for black lcd "nothing displayed", same as 301models.On this one i can see everything but the touch doesn't respond.I tried with the firmware too.

              we had one do this about a year ago from near new we suspected a dry joint in opps unti as each time we took it apart it started working
              in the end we changed the opps unit complete cost a grand in the uk so we put in a claim with ricoh who are nice people and gave us our money back
