MP 6500 slow and wont see scan and print options..

i picked up a mp 6500lease return wth 140k..
did not have scan option,just print so
they swapped sd card from print to print/scan card..
when i got it and went to get ready to install and del..it had 3 cards installed..
i know the 3rd port is for firmware,so i was puzzled..
did have the options show up once or twice but
since never..
with or without 3rd port card..
tried to flash firmware but either my card is flakey or it doesnt see it..
the display was slow to respond and getting into serv mode was slow..
\ turned on the nic via ser mode 5985..
formatted harddrive and cked controller for any loose connections,,cleaned wth alcohol all sd cards
and still nada..trying to get a 2nd prnt/scan card and if that doesnt work..
any input appreciated..

Check if these accessories are available on the machine
1. Printer/Scanner SD Card
2. 256 MB Memory DIMM
3. Keytop Printer
4. Keytop Scanner
5. CD-ROM

Right, there should be nothing in slot 3 during operation. What cards are in the slots? System card should be in slot 1, Print /Scan in slot 2. What other card do you have?
It's possible that the print/scan card that was provided you could have been erased as the contents may have been downloaded for use in a machine with a P/S 3 card

Thnx for your reply back..
the 1st and 2nd slots look right,pr/scan on 2 and the extra card was a ricoh card a bit worn so
there was nothing that said anything on it..
will try to ck it on my laptop..
didnt want to test the print scan and memory sd cards on another copier in fear of losing
another machine..
i fear the warehouse "techs" might have not shut/unplug copier when swapping out the sd cards...
still want to try to reinstall and confirm firmware updates,,cant do it remote without nic working..

as i only bought these used and already connected, i have no idea of how much memory is needed for print/scan..
was only 1 256meg card,,i just picked up a 2nd 256m memory ram to get the print/scan working..
