    MP C4502 Destination Full message

This is a random message customer sent this particular file 3 times got the message twice. 3rd time it sent. this happens a lot on large docs. Some times she goes to the MP C4500 and it sends fine. I have another customer who's MP C 5502 is doing the same thing. Other than being new Ricohs both machines are on exchange servers.
Max email size is turned off on both machines.

Are the file sizes larger on the "newer" Ricohs?
Could it be that that the resolution is set higher (or just a different setting) on the C4502/5502 machines than the C4500 , and they're exceeding the Exchange Server limit?

Check the dpi configurations on all of the machines as well as the scan type (black & white, colour, ACS) and the original setting (text, text/photo, photo) and see if there are any differences there as well.

Turn off auto color and set it to B/w. Only select color when sending color originals.
Set up divide to max size and set max size to 15000k.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

It seems that High Compression PDF can not be activated when Auto Color is selected. But yet a 25 Page Auto color file at 200 DPI is 8mb but the same document is 3mb
In full color PDF High Compression.

Might be worth your while to check if there is any size restrictions on the share folders where the scans are being sent. Like if "quotas" are set up in the disk properties for that folder.

There's new system/copy and network firmware for xx02 machines related to scan to shared folders. Is this what they are doing?

I'm having a very similar problem on a C4501. Scan to email works fine for 25-30 page docs but this customer regularly sends 10 page pdf and will get the Distination drive is full" message. IT insists that the server has at least a terabyte free. I have dropped the resolution to 200 dpi, text, black white.
Also IT says their Toshiba and their OCE work fine.
This will take all the sheets in but it fails about half way thru the send.
I also noted that the nic link light is amber (50mb) not green. I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

In Scan set up change Auto Color to Full Color then turn on High Compression PDF
