I am working on a Ricoh Aficio mp161 (b292) and i am trying to install PRINT/SCAN and FAX ,does anyone know if this is possible .I have a MP 161spf (288)that is damaged that i am trying to take the options out of to install on this copier ,any help would be great Thanks.

Yes, it's possible. I had to do it myself for similar reasons, but since the basic MP161 is not designed to have the features added as 'options', you need to exchange all the circuit boards on the back as well as the operation panel.

thanks for the help, but what about the meter/counter doesn't the fallow the boards

Swap the NVram between control boards. This will change the S/N of the 'new' machine too, but there's not much you can do about that, I don't think (??)
