I have this machine in my shop that I'm hesitant to put out in the filed because after printing or copying, a dialog box that I had never seen until now, intermittently pops up saying "RESTART REQUIRED. Press 'restart' after the current operation finishes" (or something similar).
There is no SC displayed, but it always logs SC681- xxx (the 'xxx' is any of the following: 121,123,141) I have no idea what the last 3 digits represent. I've gone through the GG, and tried some of the things listed. I'm thinking that most of the issues discussed there like RFID /IOB/ toner cartridges, etc. would be related to the machine actually throwing up the SC code on the screen, which never happens. Am I wrong?
I initially only saw it on the very first use after power up. Then, after a restart, it never seemed to happen again, but just now, I had been using it, and it happened after a single colour copy, after many other pages had been output prior to that.
It's tough to nail down any sort of pattern, as I only use the machine from time to time at my shop, and it only happens very intermittently (which drives me nuts!)
I appreciate any input.
