    Java says "Waiting"

I'm trying to reinstall Globalscan onto an MP5000, after another tech formatted the harddrive. I was having issues with the machine seeing the Globalscan files so tech support suggested to reinstall Java on the SD card (Type F). I have done so, and now instead of saying "Starting Up" in the Extended Features section like he other identical units there, it simply says "Waiting". I've tried stopping the service, restarting the service, rebooting the machine, reinstalling Java from the machine along with installing to the card from laptop. Any idea why I can't get past the "Waiting" message?
