[Misc] Ricoh Aficio 7000/3235c scanner networking problems

    Hi!

We are having a few problems with the scanner on the above machines - they were networked before no problem - just to scan to one folder on the network, nothing fancy.

We have moved the folder location recently and now cannot set the scanners back up again.

I am able to find the folder, connect to it etc - but not save it on the machines. Or remove the old file location.

It is as if I don't have access rights, but cannot figure out why.

If I log in as machine admin, it lets me do even less.

Any clues? Really have run out of ideas!

    Thanks.

Perhaps network admin has been enabled and it wont allow changes to the network settings. If so from machine admin disable it.
If that is not it then disable all machine admin lockouts and reconnect your folder, then enable machine settings.

Just a thought it has been a while since working with that model. But does it have both the administrator and machine control settings?
If so your solution may be in the administrator settings.

    Hope this helps..

Try to log in with supervisor as username and a blank password. If you're logged in as supervisor you can change the admininistators passwords back.
This machine has 4 administrators : machine admin, network admin, user admin, and file admin.
You can reset all passwords with the supervisor account.
If all passwords have been changed, go to System Settings - Key Operator Tools - Administrator Authentication and disable all Admin Authentications.
