    MPC300

When making copies the image is skewing.
No difference if you scan with the ADF or scan on the glass.
Prints ar coming out fine, no skewing.
Can I adjust this in the service mode or do I have to adjust the mirrors manually.?

Someone more experienced on the MPC300 ?

    Thanks in advance

If prints are straight and the skew only originates from df/scanner then I would check the adjustment of the scanner assembly - I know it has less mirrors than the MP161 but (from the photos in the manual) it looks like the adjustments for scanner skew should be very similar (by using alignment pins/holes) to check for skew.

The adjustments mentioned above (c & a) are for alignment of print registration not for actual optical skew.

Used to be an issue with people leaning on the corner of the top of the machine, distorting the optics cavity frame..... a possibility maybe?

I get the feeling Ricoh's designers tried to stop this by making the scanner section shorter in depth so that it is more difficult to lean on!

But yes it could be a possibility, although this machine uses a CIS type scanner (like Samsung) so there is not much that can go wrong "between mirrors". The only skewing that can (theoretically) occur is in the scanner assembly movement direction (left to right).

From what I have seen one can still check and set this in the same way as in the old days with 2 scanner pins and a screwdriver.
