    Windows 7 Driver -- Aficio 240WP

The printer itself is hooked up to a Windows XP machine running plotbase and functioning fine. I'ts being shared on the network. I recently updated two computers in the office to Windows 7 and now, I'm unable to add printer being shared by the XP (plotbase) machine.

I've googled all over the place and am unable to find an appropriate way to get this working. Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Not backward compatible especially if 64 bit.
On a share, add the 32 bit driver or 86X as an additional driver.

A newer model PCL driver should work on older equipment.

I can send an Aficio 450 RPCS and PCL driver to a MP4500, no problem and visa versa.

I install a 1045 driver on servers to print B/W only to a MPC 4500. Easier than playing with user codes and the server decides who gets what drivers.
Equipment accessories have been the same for years as far as Ricoh is concerned.

    My signature says it all.

    Nuff said.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

      Thanks faxman.

Do you know where I would get the x86 driver for an Aficio 240WP? And, I assume you're referring to the XP driver since they don't make one for Win7?

      Thanks again for your help!

If you are running plotbase, you need to update for the 64 bit drivers to be installed. They are on the tech support site.
