Can anyone assist with the part number of the 21Z gear on the fusing clutch of the AF2238C. The fusing clutch does not seem to appear in the catalog. Physical label shows the clutch is AX20-0246.
From the parts catalog it appears that the fusing clutch is integrated with the K Development drive unit G077-1100. Is anyone able to confirm that the K drive unit assembly comes complete with the fusing clutch and gear?
Have you extricated the drive unit? Check the clutch body - chances are there will be an "AX" number on it - sometimes the manuals are screwed up and drawn wrong.
I have had instances where clutches are grouped under electrical for instance.
Can you do a output check on the clutch? can you hear it click?
Thanks for responding. The clutch is fine, its the gear on its shaft that has snapped into two. The clutch says AX20-0246 and is not listed in the catalog anywhere - but it sits on the K development drive unit. I am trying to establish if the clutch and gear are sold as part of the K drive unit.
Is there anything in particular that would cause that gear to snap? I have checked the fusing unit, its done about 35K and its not showing excessive load. I would hate to replace unit then have that snap as well - $260.00 at PR.
It is quiet a task, about an hour and a half as it was my first time stripping it down this far. Just follow the manual instructions and should be good.
