I have several Ricoh 2500 machines that are jamming when the prints come out the finisher. The prints come halfway out and jam. I can set the prints to come out at the internal tray and everything is fine. Does anyone have a fix that works on these machines? I cant seem to figure this one out. Thanks

Re: Ricoh MPC2500 jams at finisher
When you open the lid of the bridge unit, there is a small black/grey switch front-right. The weight of the lid sitting on the switch is usually enough to hold it down, but not always. You can jam a bit of paper underneath the lid or hold it down whilst the machine is printing, to test.

This page is from a BU3000 (most bridges are similar), these switches are marked 1 & 2.Comment

Re: Ricoh MPC2500 jams at finisher
I think there are 1 or 2 of these switches. They detect if the covers/doors of the Bridge Unit are open (they're located at the front side of the Bridge Unit). If they're faulty they detect a Cover-Open-situation, and that causes a paper jam.Comment
