    Ricoh 3035 Scan to folder or even scan to email setup..... Thanks

    Good afternoon all. I have a Ricoh 3035 that I am trying to setup the scan feature on it. Can somebody show/have basic instructions on how to setup the scan to folder feature or scan to email feature. I got it printing just have trouble setting up the scanner. And yes I can ping the copier and it replies back. I would take either or. Thanks for your time.

      Scan to Folder:
      1. Create new folder "scans" Share the folder and set Permissions and Security features to "full control" (easiest way if security is not an issue)
      2. Log in to web image monitor using the machines IP address in your web browser....default login is "admin" with no password
      3. Create new entry in address book...enter name...path e.g. (\\computer name\scans) under folder authentication enter windows login name and password

      Its a little different depending on what version windows your using.

      Scan to Email:
      Need your clients SMTP server and login/password.
      Newer mail servers that require SSL over smtp will not work on this machine. I believe yahoo still works...no gmail.
      All this info is entered under email in device configuration in web image monitor. Then just add people to the address book with their email address.

          If it's a win 7 or Server 2008 system or newer, don't waste your time on scan to folder until or unless you update the firmware. It's a no go

                  Wich is the most recent firmware auf the scanner, that will support win 7?

                  i do not have 2 left hands. may i can update the firmware by myself?
                  (i did update the both NICs in the unit too)
