    [Misc] Ricoh Aficio 2090, Blowing excess toner (Over Time) to the back of machine.

    This customer has had this problem and the previous techs (With a large company) And in over a few year peroid, could not figure it out. But the toner is blowing out of the process unit somehow.

    Hi,Ive had this problem in the past and its down to leaky seals from the toner bank,IF its coming out at the rear of the machine.
    But you also mention the process area.
    dev unit seals come to mind,but what specific area inside the drum cavity.

      It's all over the back of the drum cavity wall. My thing is, it seems that the seals would be the fist thing the techs tried and why would it still be happening. No tellin, the customer said they tried to correct it for over a year. Thanks so much for your feedback...

        The toner tubes are most likely pluged. These tubes are how the machine moves toner via vacume/air pressure and are located in the RH end of the machine.

            That is a very common issue with those units. A lot of the toner recycle parts and toner transport parts have been upgraded.
