Turn off remote diagnostics. SP5816-001. Set to "0" (off)

Or run SP5816-209 - this clears all of the settings including the one above.

I think on this model you need to go into memory clear and look for "SCS" clear that, it also resets your timers to the lowest settings and deletes your admin user name, so you need to change those back.

That doesn't make sense; the SP mode that I suggested clears @Remote settings, it's nothing to do with scanning.

I suggest taking Paul's extended hand and buy a manual.
