mpc 2500 A3 trail edge creasing

only creases A3 at the trail edge. last 3 inches. very faint creasing.
this customer had another mpc 2500 onsite so i swapped over the fuser units and still had the same problem always the same creas. and the other mpc 2500 was working fine on A3.
paper was changed with no effect
tried to adjust and cleaned the fuser entrance guide. no effect
    creases from all trays.
A4 is perfect on A3 is giving me the problem.

anyone else had this problem before???

I have had that problem with MPC4500 when duplexing...had to smooth the paper guides with a green scrubber and clean all transport rollers. Also check out the registration guide plate and make sure it has no snags on the mylar. Try running the paper in a thick mode setting so the machine slows down to see if it still does it.

Liking the thick paper setting suggestion, assuming that they're like evey other bloody customer who insists on running 100% coverage prints through an office colour machine.

Ricoh drills it in your head "Black and white machine with color capabilities!"

They probably do, but I don't work for Ricoh and I agree with their stance.

                    Hi
I had an MP3550 creasing A4r paper, rebuilt fuser, no go. Found a lot of sticky residue/lumps from their labels on the alignment rollers. Cleaned them up and haven't heard back since.....

I have an MPC2500 in the field that is doing this right now. We initially moved the A3 from Tray 4 to tray 2, figuring that the drawer base might be skewed on the frame. Problem has apparently just returned, I am about to fit a PTR.

For me it was the Ptr unit.

Sometime it could be the grounding metal grid on the paper transfer roller bent upward.

It's just about got to be a paper transport issue. I wonder if he can stop the paper before it hits the fuser and look to see if it's skewed slightly.

The exit rollers, the two sets, little white plastic things after the fuser and before exiting , they get caked up with toner and crease/indent the paper. I've had this on every one of these machines. You need to remove the exit unit and clean off those rollers.
