    [Hard Disk] is not [ON]

    Anyone seen this before?
Just installed a new Windows 7 PC - used PCL 6 driver for a Aficio 3235c.

It isn't letting anything send locked prints because of the above message. Normal prints are sending, whirring away, then nothing...

Going to install PCL 5c now instead, but anyone seen this before?

Are the options configured correctly in the driver, including the user code?

I'd try the RPCS driver and PCL 5c just to see if the problem goes away, but it sounds more like an actual drive issue. Does the machine allow you to duplex, or use the document server?

No, it won't allow any duplex - nor use of the document server (can't use any other job option other than 'normal'.
Just tried PCL 5c and it hasn't even installed it now...

I can print to it from my machine, so it isn't the copier hard drive. Must be something with the PC - really need it sorting before we upgrade all machines to windows 7.

If it doesn't allow duplexing or the document server, then the hard drive will need to be replaced or maybe just reformatted.

Even though all of those options are available for other staff from different machines?

That's kind of an important detail that would have isolated the issue at the outset. We now know for sure that it's some sort of configuration/ PC issue, and completely unrelated to the machine itself.

Check the Accessories tab in the driver. Make sure that the selected options really reflect what the copier has installed.
