Upgraded 3025 to MP3350 now scan to folder doesn't work

Customer using windows 7, had 3025 using scan to folder no problem.
Replaced with a MP3350 and copied the folder destinations to the new address book.
Same folders same address but no scans arrive, just sits there says waiting
I'm no network expert, am I missing something simple?

Did you do an address book backup and restore to the new machine or entered the address manually? Sounds like you need to enter the folder authentication. If you go to copier -> scan and enter the folder location manually and try to browse to it, it should ask you for a username and password.

If you do a backup of the adress book by using SmartDeviceManager the passwords won't be backed up. You'll have to enter them in the new machine.

Or, if you've checked that the authentication details are there, firmware.

        I'm going for firmware.

did you enter the network info like ip address, subnet & gateway? also the firmware for windows 7 would definitely do.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

SDM doesn't transfer authentication info to the new machine.

It does, as long as you choose 'Backup' instead of 'Export'. What likely happened is whoever setup the previous machine put the password information under the Default SMB Username/Password section. As long as every location the copier was attempting to scan to used a single logon(like 5 folders all to the same server) then it works great.
Just get the proper authentication from the IT guy and you should be fine.

                  That was it.
Someone had set it up with username "scan" and password "password"
As always, Thanks to all who responded.
