SC 322 (Aficio 2045)

Problem with the laser scanning unit. Already replaced the laser diode unit and performed laser beam pitch adjustment but still SC 322 shows. Any idea to rectify the problem?Replacing the whole laser scanning unit is a good solution but not a good idea because it is expensive. Two machines have the same problem.

Sometimes replacing the door switches sorted it out for me,specially the one for right door above the fuser Unit.

I just want to correct myself. It is not Aficio 2045 but rather Aficio 3045. Actually, the machine was working before. My colleague removed the whole LSU assembly and installed it in other machine sometime ago.
He returned the defective LSU and installed it back to the machine. The machine is now having SC 322. My boss wants me to fix the problem. I already replaced the LD unit and performed the calibration but still an error.Connectors are good.

If there is no problem in the LSU, then why it shows same error SC 322 when I installed or swap it the working machine?Meaning, the problem is only in LSU and not in the door switch.

To make sure check this laser on a working machine.

If this Unit (LSU) is working in other machine as you said,then you gotta be looking somewhere else,not the Laser,it starts from cables to the controller.door switches,PSU.

Have you tried ( prying up on the laser section with a striaght screwdriver just under the mounting screw ) while tightening the mounting screws? I believe there was a bulliten on the older models for the machines that have laser codes. The window for the laser section was obstructing laser causing codes, and lifting the laser section cured the problems.
Hope this makes sense, typing instructions was never my strong point.

Dear Sir,
Regarding with your problem I can help with you very simple remove the lsu and clean properly all mirrors big and small but make it sure when you return it back.the mirror will be the same position.100% you well be happy the result.have a nice day!!!!!goodluck

You might have bad bicu if laser diode and motor replaced.
