Ricoh SP 4410sf Scan to Email Google SSL setup

I have a Ricoh SP4410sf scanner that allows me to scan to email. I am wanting to use a gmail account I created to accomplish this. I have smtp.gmail.com as the primary smtp using port 465. I am confused about what settings to use for authentication however. Do I need SSL? What authentication method should I use? The options are:
    1)No authentication
    2)Login/Plain
    3)Cram-MD5
    4)Digest-MD5
    5)NTLM
    6)Kerberos 5

I have tried a variety of settings, but haven't found the right one yet. I have not seen anything through my google searching either. Help is greatly appreciated!!

It won't work with an email account that uses encryption, like Gmail, unless you use a workaround like "stunnel", which is not an ideal solution because the PC it's installed on will need to remain on.
You'll need to setup , or use another email account, that doesn't use encryption, and then choose the appropriate login credentials, generally either "none" or "Login / plain". ( I haven't tried the 'workaround" in the document above)
I personally use a yahoo account in these cases, and also use the IP addres of the SMTP server rather than the name.

Just looked at the Product Support Guide, this doesn't say that it supports SSL go I'd say this won't work. If they are willing to only scan to gmail/google apps addresses they can use:
Sending mail from a printer, scanner or app - Google Apps Help
Which says to use aspmx.l.google.com with port 25, but it can only scan to gmail or google apps accounts.
        Otherwise, setup scan to folder.
