MP C2050 paper transfer unit lever 'B' front holder broken

Customer broke the lower plastic holder on the release lever "B" for the paper transfer unit.
As in the picture the top piece is still there but the bottom plastic is gone.
I temporarily put a small metal bracket there to hold it in place, but it looks like the whole transfer assy would have to be replaced to fix it.
Anyone else seen this and know if that is the case or is there a more creative fix?IMG_0259.jpg

Id say its common, I have replaced a few of those assemblies, not as fiddly as it looks

Yes this part in not Ricoh's finest design thinking! They break on almost all of the machines we've sold. I honestly don't know what they were thinking!

Best is to replace it and move on. I have seen all kinds of backyard fixes, but in the end the part is not all that expensive, and to prove that the customer broke it... is at best going to be a sticky topic, as these things fall about the machine as they please.

Had one the other day that literally fell out of it's hinges the moment I opened the side door!

        thanks, that's what I figured.
my parts book looks a little ambiguous in the Seperation/Transport area, do you happen to have the part number?

Drill a hole through the black frame and loop a cable tie around the bushing. much stronger, never breaks again.... (or fit a new part!)

Had a customer break the the the housing it sits in last week, that would mean replacing the whole transfer roller assy. It seems to be working without the lever, it's now sitting on my bench.
