    [Misc] MPC 4502 NOISE COMING

    Dear Doctors ,

I am having a issue about Nashuatec mpc 4502 abnormal noise from fusing unit. Then i came to know the sound is from fusing unit pressure adjusting mechanism . Through SP mode if i am actuating the fuser pressure motor i am getting "gad gad gad ..." sound. I have cross checked with another fusing unit it was quietly good. Without fusing unit the fuser pressure motor is rotating smoothly and with fusing unit ,without closing the right side door i am getting the same sound . Kindly suggest me to solve this issue.

    Regards
    Junior

Check SP1151-2,3 and 4. Ricoh sent out some units with these values set too high, thus turning the pressure release too much.

Did you remove the fusing rollers to inspect the bearings?

there is also new engine firmware to slow the fusing belt at paper exit, supposedly to stop the chattering noise.
