    1357ex 109 jams

Replace the first 2 entrance sensors in the finisher, no motors are stalling. Pretty random but jams with this code 3-7 times per day. Any ideas?

I'm an 18 year Ricoh tech. I have every manual know to man. I've been through the manuals, gooses, and trouble shooting guides. But thanks for your input.

This jam related to the drive on the pre stack rollers (in the R4 to R6) gates.

What you need to do is remove the finisher control board. Behind the board there is your pre stack drive gear (1 way bearing driven by a belt)

That bearing is slipping on the drive rollers causing your jams, Remove the bearing, sand down the shaft as it will be quite polished and reassemble.

            Hi

Before you go changing a whole lot of stuff, have a look at the finisher. The 3 black guide plates where the paper collects before loading into the staple tray (page 32 in the sr5000 parts manual). I have one that the middle guide plate doesn't sit properly on it's top magnet. This will either cause the lead corner of the paper to curl or jam up. I've trained to customer to look for this when the problem occurs, they've been happy with that for the last 3 years

            Good luck
