    Type 1027 PCU

Would anyone know if a Type 1027 PCU will work in a MP3352 machine?
I know they say the dv case is different (has another screw) but has anyone tried it?
I have a very busy doctors office in a hospital and using a vacume is very hard because of the phones.

    Thanks

I don't believe that you can.
Vacuums ar always a noise issue but the best is to try and time it between calls.
The customer will have to understand if they want it taken care of noise is just part of it.

Update, It does work just fine. All you need to do is trim off one pin on the front of the unit and run SP2801.

Thanks! That's a good piece of info. I don't have any of these yet, but it's good to know for the future. Keep us posted if anything changes after a longer test.

Wow. Figured it'd be something miniscule. I think this is the same sort of situation on the Type 1515 PCU's that makes them incompatible with the MP301. The unit's front plate should be removable (though the one time I tried it, I couldn't get it off) if this bulletin is to be believed - so maybe the same sort of thing is possible there and we won't have to worry so much about carrying around two different drum units.

I know you have solved the main problem, and thanks for sharing the information!
But if I have to use the vacuum in a busy place with people taking phone calls, I ask them if they would mind if I moved the PCU/machine to the break room or something so I don't disturb them with noise. That works almost every time.
As this is probably not the last time you will need to run your vacuum in that kind of situation, you might try this too. When it works properly, it makes using the vacuum a lot easier.

If they have an exam room they're not using, that's even better. Plenty of drop cloths available, a big bench to spread out on, and you can shut the door!
