Going to need a bit more information to go on if I'm going to be able to help you.

What driver are you using? PCL5/PCL6/Postscript?

Is it the correct driver for this machine or are you using the legacy driver from the previous machine you had?

What application are you trying to print this from? Does this problem occur in any other applications you are trying to print from. Does this occur on all computers trying to print to this machine or just one in particular?

What steps have you already taken in trying to fault find this yourself?

      Dear .
      Thank you for your reply.

This is the bill downlode form a TELECOM service provider . before the same customer using RICOH mp3350. and downlode the bill from the same site there will not be any problem like this. one week back we installed new copier MPC3002and we come to notice this issue.

      we try pcl5/pcl6 .no result.

The said invoices available in the service provider web site in PDF. We copy the bar code part and saved in jpeg format and its print properly. But if we print direct as pdf its giving the print as in the attachment.

The said customer is not using any other software. they downlode their monthly telecom bill directly form the we site and its get print. They cant use the bill with out bar code for the payment.

I think the issue now more clear.

      regards.

When sending the print job from Acrobat, click the Advanced button, then select print as image. That should sort it. I doubt this is an issue with the machine itself, it sounds more like a glitch between Acrobat and the latest generation of Ricoh drivers.

        Hit it.

It could be that the old machine had barcode fonts installed on its HDD.

Any possibility that it may still be around to print both the PCL and PS font lists from it?

I don't know of any machine, regardless of brand, that includes barcode fonts.

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I print barcodes all the time on our shop MPC4500, there are no extra fonts installed in the HDD. I just downloaded a free barcode font, installed it on the pc and away it went on RPCS. Something is weird on the Adobe side of things, methinks.

The font prints OK as a jpg because it is being sent as an image, rather than text with a call for a font which may not be present.

There are tons of barcode fonts: 3of9 (most common), 2of5, 128, etc, and each is actually a font family, and not a single font. (There are, for instance, about 2 dozen 3of9 fonts.)

It is also possible to include the font in the file (font inclusion), which obviously is not happening.

Ricoh does offer a kit which contains pretty much any barcode font you could ever want; it is available via a full Ricoh partner, named Stethos. (a German company).

You can also install fonts on the HDD of the machine using the font downloader tool (on the TRSC site), but note that barcode printer fonts are rarely if ever free.

So, do you know any good websites can offer some free bar code fonts?
