    [Misc] Left side output tray issues Aficio 3228

    I have a customer who has an Aficio-3228 that every time they send a multiple page document to it to be collated and printed...it always prints out ejected to the left side top tray face up and always in reverse order (4-3-2-1) instead of beng face down in the correct order (1-2-3-4).
    I have the service manuals for this machine but I cannot seem to be able to find anything telling me how to change the output tray so that the copies come out correctly in order. Anyone with ideas or suggestions for me would be greatly appreciated.

      Have you checked the preference settings in the driver? Generally there is a check box for reverse order printing, it may have been checked inadvertently.

          You could do the 'reverse order' thing as Teebee suggested if that's the preferred output tray, OR go to UT / System settings / General features/Output, and you can select the preferred output tray (inner/external/finisher, etc.) for each function (fax, Copier, Printer , etc.)

          This is user guide stuff, not rocket science, and readily available to anyone at http://ricoh.com/support/, as below:

          Tray Locations: Depending upon the options fitted to your machine, the Output Trays are:
          Changing Output Trays: To change your default Output Tray for a particular function:
          1. Press the [User Tools/Counter] key
          2. Touch the [System Settings] key to view the System Settings submenu
          3. Touch to select the [General Features] tab, if it is not already in view
          4. Touch the Output key that you want to change (for example, if you want to designate a tray for copy jobs only, touch [Output: Copier])
          5. At the next screen, touch the Output Tray that you want to use, then touch [OK] to accept your choice
          6. Press the [User Tools/Counter] key to complete the operation
