I've read a lot about the difficulties of Scan to E-mail using Gmail. Yesterday, I bought a SAVIN MP 301 that appears to be SSL/TLS enabled and am having difficulty sending through Gmail.
If I test my connection through: System --> File Transfer --> Smtp Server --> "Test Connection" it indicates that it can successfully connect to smtp.gmail.com.
However, when I go to send an e-mail from the machine, it scans the document, and then almost immediately fails with the following message: "Sending the data has failed" To confirm the result check [comm / status]/".
Any advise? We would like to be able to send e-mail through our Google Apps Gmail account.
