Aficio MP 5500 does not print via LAN

    Hello .

Aficio MP 5500 does not print via LAN (even LED DATA is not flashing). I changed set of printer-scanner (SD-card + memory) and network card. It did not help. Aficio prints normally via USB . Ping goes through as expected.
    thank you

Check 5985-001. It has to be enabled (set to "1")

If it pings but won't print, unplug the network cable and ping it again in case its IP address is being used by something else.

Did you set the port up as a standard TCPIP port in the driver?

Are the IP address and subnet mask correct in the machine?

Finally, is it cabled into a desktop switch? This could be causing the issue, as could a fault with any structured cabling. Plug in a laptop directly into the machine's NIC via a crossover cable and see whether that works.

          1. I unpluged cable - ping do not replay
          2. port TCP-IP
          3. IP adress and subnet mask correct
          4. I pluged a crossover cable in a laptop directly and changed Ip and Gateway how necessary - the same problem

Make sure user codes are not dumping the jobs.

Good shout, make sure that User Authentication Management is turned off.

Can you get into the Web Image Monitor?

Have you set up scanning of any sort? Does that work?

Check the Network settings (IPv4) settings in the WIM (attached) are all enabled. I'd be lying if I told you I knew what all of them did, but I do know that disabling some will disable printing and /or scanning, but allow things like Pinging, WIM access, etc.

Well that's just nonsense, isn't it? Maybe they want to scan but not to print as they use smaller printers at their desks and this is in a reprographics department where they can't clog the copier up with print jobs, yet they want to scan from them for speed purposes. Or porpoises, one or the other.

Yes, you're right, but there is no chance to use this copier without printer (((
