MP C3000 copies come out with lines and distorsion
Re: MP C3000 copies come out with lines and distorsion
Looks a lot like bad RAM, but if the prints are good then maybe not... Do the lines clear up if you turn the machine off and then back on? Firmware up to date?

Thxs for responding so fast. This copies that I've made are in b/w, but it's a color copier. It doesn't matter if copy is b/w or color it come out with lines. Here is another photo I took.

Ditto, I've seen this before and I'm almost positive it was a memory dimm. But like stated by rthonpm, I would think prints would look the same. Try reseating them on the controller. The pattern suggests a memory buffer problem of some sort. After that then do a SBU test pattern, this will tell you if the problem is with the scanner (SP4907). From there move onto the IPU test patterns (SP4417).

Hope this photo is more clear.

Um, I didn't see this yet, so, sorry if this is wrong.
But, have the optics been cleaned? If the machine prints well but has errors when copying that's a pretty good indication that either the optics are contaminated or the SBU has failed. Although the times I've seen the SBU fail has resulted in somewhat more unusual patterns than what your photos show, so that is kind of unlikely from what I can tell.
