Lanier LD090 and scan to network

I have an old LD090 that has been using ScanRouter 2 for scan to network since 2003 time frame. The internal Address Book shows no option for native scan to folder (only e-mail as destination shows up) and I'm wondering if no scan to folder is showing up because it's configured to use ScanRouter. Is there any native support for scan to folder in this copier? I'd like to retire the XP machine running ScanRouter and simplify things.

That particular generation only uses scan router for folder, native email only if I recall correctly. The next generation had embedded SMB scan.

Thanks. Have the paid versions of ScanRouter been updated to support Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012? The XP machine running ScanRouter is dying and I would prefer to not have to keep another piece of hardware around, or deal with a VM.

the last I heard support for scanrouter was discontinued no more support means no new updates.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

ScanRouter is no longer officially supported by Ricoh. Since all later models have built in Samba support, ScanRouter really served no purpose in terms of further support. Pretty much a VM would be your best bet: no hardware to manage, and easy to back up in case of problems.

I did end up deploying an XP VM in Hyper-V on the local server, gets the job done. Unfortunately I can't force this location to dump the copier becaues they own it and it's fairly trouble free. We prohibit scan to e-mail so stuck dealing with ScanRouter until the copier becomes something that isn't worth repairing.

Unfortunately that sounds like your best bet unless you want to get them a smaller more modern device for scanning and keep the old tank around for bigger print jobs that need the speed advantage.

Couldn't you set up an "scan to only" email server on your LAN for internal use only and just give everyone a dummy address, keeping everything in house? This way there wont be any security concerns in regards to being able to get out on the internet.
