    hdd ricoh mp1100/1350

    Hi

Today we received some mp1100 and mp1350 with their hard disks removed .
Can i replace them by any set of 80 or 160 gb or do they need to be of a special brand ?

    Can anyone help ?

    Thx in advance

    Regards

    Pat

i believe that model has dual drives. Just be sure they are the right size or larger (both of them) and preferably the same kind and brand. They are not special proprietary drives.

Replacing the HDD loses all document server documents, and user stamps.
When the HDD is replaced, the default user stamps must be re-installed, so use
        SP5853
to copy these files from the controller firmware onto the hard disk.

addresses can be backed up with Smart Net Monitor.
Print fonts must also be re-entered after HDD replacement.

        you can use generic HD 160G X 2 = 320

        Nobody is perfect..

you can replaced them with generic 2 xx 160 GB, same brand, same configuration as master then formatted it inside the sp mode...
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.
