It can be an ITB problem, rollers, dev't unit, laser unit etc..Go to printer sp mode to determine what drum(color) is having a problem.

When you say " not printing color " does that mean that it will copy in color? Is it possible that someone turned on user codes and locked out color? Is the print driver defaulted to B & W and the customer doesn't realize it?

Sounds to me that someone has installed the MP4500 driver rather than the C4500

either that or black only was selected in C4500 print driver.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

get the client to use the ricoh universal print driver instead, it automatically picks up which machine is being used

Sounds like a stupid human trick like they were copying with the black and white button selected. Probably will be an easy fix. Check out the things mentioned in this thread.

Re: Ricoh MPC4500 not printing color

considering that the color driver is set to print in color by default unless someone has changed a setting in the driver, the customer may be using the black and white version. I would check to see if they have the RPCS driver in PCL5e or PCL6 installed. That universal driver that Ricoh put out can be very confusing to an end user and doesn't have all the functionality of a driver specifically made for that machine.

                    Hope this helps.

Sorry guys wrong information from customer. The control panel is not selecting anything its like the lcd screen jumps all over the place when u try to select color or paper size. But when u send a print the machine prints fine. Can this mean the lcd screen is faulty?
