Ricoh B469 Sorter not Stapling properly

No matter the quantity of sheets sorted the stapler will only staple the first 2 sheets of every set. If you run 3 pages only the first 2 will be stapled. 10 pages run, only the first 2 stapled, and so on.

Replaced the stapler assy. K TYPE, with another OEM, as the client said it started malfunctioning shortly after the last time it was manually refilled. There was no improvement. The manuals don't even mention any stapler adjustments. This is a 3000 sheet finisher with only a 2 position stapler option and everything looks in good shape without any apparent physical damage, or heavy wear.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

does the machine immediately stapled the 2 pages or it will wait until the set is done. open the door of the finisher(push the door switch manually) then run the machine. you will have a clearer view on what is happening inside while stapling.

Hi there!
Take a close look at the paperguides, there are mylars. If they are bent you get trouble while stapling. Also a problem may be the roller, which allign the sheets properly.

...also check all the white transport rollers, some people call them pinch rollers along the the paper path to staple staging area
