    mpc 2500 sc 672

i have an mpc 2500 with an sc 672.
ive read the manual but it only throws the sc code when we plug the network cable into the machine.
recently their network crashed and the machine gave an sc 672. and now everytime they plug the ethernet cable in to their controller the screen freezes and throws an sc 672. unplug the ethernet and it works fine.

i disconnected the HDD and its the same.

does this mean that theres a problem with their network or is it the machine???

    any idea??

    thanks

Check fax connection to FCU. Also try it with fax option disconnected. Update system firmware.
Otherwise, it's most likely control board

        Hi there!
Had the same problem with a MPC 5502: sytemcrash at the customer, cable in, sc-code. Astonishingly there were some corrupted prints on the way, which were several weeks(!) old. After deleting them the problem was gone.

            Hi there!
To my great pleasure the admin was availible, and he deletes the datas from his PC . What also can help is, that evry user open his printer-menue to check if there are old datas on the way. Hope this helps.

We're having this problem with one of our Mpc2500's. They customer had new internet supply installed and since then when the network cable is plugged in you get an error code and the machine freezes up. Unplug the network cable and it works fine. It looks like there is a bulletin out about this. If you can prove it works from your laptop the they have an IT issue.... not your problem.

I had this issue as well. It was some sort of corrupt PDF file the machine kept choking on. Had a user delete it from the print que. Other files printed fine. Did a test print and it was fine.
