Address book not showing up in WIM

This is for an MP2000, so I'm aware that SD card slots 1 and 2 are flipflopped.

The address book can be edited in User tools, but nothing even related to it appears in WIM. Fax address card was replaced, and switching slots (even putting the fax address card into the FIRMWARE slot, which was where I found it originally) makes no change.

Initializing the address book does nothing either. I have a new print/scan card on order, am I missing anything else?

It may only apply to the larger segments, but I thought if you had the print/scan function installed you didn't need the fax SD card. Will it work without the fax card?

I believe the issue is one of two things (or both). There is no HDD, the address book is stored in flash memory or on the fax address book sd card - that may be one reason. The other is (from the knowledge base)-

"If the administrator/user creates an address book entry after switching on the user authentication, only the creator has access to this entry. Additionally, newly created users have to be given full access to all users in "address book administration" -> "access privilege". Then the users are able to see the entries."

Yes. Everything seems to be working except the address book options in WIM.

Are you logged in as admin, cause i dont think it shows up unless your logged in. Just a thought i know its simple but never hurts to ask.

I was, but admin wasn't set up as a "user administrator", which for reasons unbeknownst to me made the address book options completely invisible to that user.

What I did discover, however (after doing an All Memory Clear and logging in as supervisor), was that another admin account had been created, and when I logged into it, there was the address book!

So I told the client to log into that account. That had better take care of things.
