do you have a service manual for this machine? check the connectors maybe you forgot something..

Have taken it apart 3 times. code goes away then shows misfeed which there is not one.

Is this replacement duplexer from another of the exact same model or a different model that looks the same? Sometimes extra sensors are added or removed between models even though the mechanical components are unchanged.

Let's back up and find out what led to this condition...

Why did you replace the duplex housing in the first place?
So there are no "SC" codes anymore?
The more info you provide, the easier it will be to help.
Also, If it shows "misfeed" now, what codes is it logging?

customer abuses machine. part is new from ricoh. aficio mp-c3500. if it is not showing sc452. it says misfeed in area c.

So, you're apparently a man of few words. Fine.
"misfeed in area c", is NOT the "jam code", and SC452 has nothing to do with duplexer, so My few words to you, are "Good Luck"
