Hi all

I have ricoh aficio 1075 and i have problem that machine do not remember anything. I can set IP address and work fine until i turn of main switch. After that everything back to default.

What can be ?

I think this unit has a battery on the controller to save all of these functions: it may have failed. If not, then the NVRAM may be going flaky.

The Battery "should" be on the controller from what I remember. You can test the battery when removing it by running a Multi-meter across the Positive and Negative of the Battery and comparing the output voltage with what's stated on the battery. As this is an older model machine, this doesn't surprise me that the Battery may have failed.

New ones are cheap, so long as the battery isn't hard-wired into the board. If it is then things may get a little more expensive.

I have had to do this on various Ricoh models in the past even "hard wired" and it took care of that same symptom/problem.

You have to replace the NVRAM because the battery is store inside the NVRAM.
