    Ricoh mp 2550 develpoer type?

i have used type 1022 pcu s in the older 220,270 copiers.
and 1022 pcu s will work in the 2550b.
so.. can i use the type 19 developer i have laying around collecting dust?
without knowing for sure i feel most of these b/w copiers use the same toner..
    any input appreciated..

You can put a type 1027 pcu in it you just have to run developer Initial in sp mode or use tpe 28 dev and opc ect.........

It would seem that not many (if any) of us have tried it. If you've got a few bags lying around, then there's no harm in trying. If it works, great. If not, replace it with type 28.
            Let us know.

thnx on the type 21 dev info,
after googling type 21 dev i found post on this site that someone
did use type 19 dev in place of type 28..
i will try in on both a 2550b drum and a 1022 pcu..
i also see lots of techs refuse to rebuild any drum units..
if one works for a dealer and they are cool with swapping units, thats fine..
with us independents we have to work with what we have...and that means
improvise and learn how to rebuild these units..i really wish they made this unit a 2 part unit like caNON DID YEARS BACK,DRUM UNIT ONLY AND DEV UNIT ONLY..WOULD BE SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT srry 4 caps slipped

You know, back in the day when I was pushing a broom working my way through electronics school, I wished for something as well. A buddy of mine told me to wish in one hand and shit in the other, and see which hand gets filled up first (sorry, he was a Korean War veteran, sometimes they are not terribly subtle).
Anyway, there's been a lot of information shared with you by many people so far, have you tried any of that out? If so, how did that work?
Improvisation really isn't that hard with this many people trying to help you out, after all.
I worked on Canon NP6085s and Canofiles back in the day, what Canon machines are you referring to here?
