    [Misc] Ricoh 240W Plotter

    Hi
I have a Ricoh 240W plotter that will not print. In the plotter software it shows the printer offline.
All connections checked ok. I am able to print a meter reading page but nothing else.
The pc connected to it is running Windows 2000 professional.

    Any ideas would be welcomed.

Are you using ratio controller? do you have the license? all the procedures were written on the operators manual.

A little more information on your problem would probably help to diagnose the problem. If you are doing an upgrade to windows 2K there is a major software up grade that was put out by Ricoh. without the upgrade the software will not work! Original package was set up for XP.

          Re: Ricoh 240W Plotter

There was a program called Plotbase that worked with a proprietary board. This Plotbase needed a license key to work and was (even then) pretty cranky. It was written pre-Windows XP, so do the math!

To make matters worse, the company that issued the registered licences, has since gone belly up....

The successor W series have normal nic's that can be used with whatever software i.e. AutoCad without too many issues.
