    [Misc] SMB scanning to Vista

I have a Ricoh MPC2550 that will not scan to a 32 bit Vista machine. The scan just sits there going nowhere.
I successfully got the customers two XP machines & one other Vista machine scanning. All firmware up to date.
I'm sure its a pc issue. Has anyone had any issues with Vista?

      TRY THIS!
Never change the Firmware first for set up scan to mail or folder.
If you ser up SMTP server name ,Path , authentication folder or SMTP and put the adminstrator password but still not work check this.
      Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings\Password protected sharing\TURN OFF

Make sure that the Network type for the machine is set to Work as opposed to Public, which will disable SMB. Also take a look to make sure that the AV client and firewall have the same settings as the known working machines. Finally, make sure that Windows Live Essentials isn't installed: for some reason it kills SMB.

Oh, if the machine is customer owned, don't disable password sharing unless you get their okay, excepting for troubleshooting purposes. By altering any security settings on a workstation or server you're changing the security posture of the customer and may be putting them out of compliance for their business type. The last thing you want to do is open a share folder to the whole network that they're using to store some kind of personally identifiable information in.
