[Misc] Ricoh Afficio MP 171L can not start scan

I have Ricoh 171L USB printing and scanning, no ADF, printer is ok, but I can not start scan from computer.

I setup the printer driver first, than the USB scan. OK without problem.
But when I start scan from "Windows fax and scan" click scan the program say "a problem prevented the document from being scanned. Other program may use the scanner .." but I don't see any programs use it. Preview is OK.
I checked "Windows services" and saw that Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) auto stop, than I restart but still got the problem.
Printing is OK, but problem only with the scan, I used some other programs like Scan to PDF, Foxit but can't solve the problem.

Please help me.

USB port is for printing only. You have to use a network port for scanning.

Really? Well then, If you believe that to be the case, please tell us the name of the "scanner" software you have downloaded /installed?

Dear sandmanmac,

In TWAIN driver you can see a folder named USBSCN, that is usb scanner driver. Last week, I can start scan through Microsoft Clip Organize but can not start from Windows Fax & Scan, PDF although the last time I used Foxit to start scan successfully.
