[Error Code] RICOH MPC 2550, Error Code SC 380

Hi Guys, need some help & advice.

I have encounterd several of my machines producing SC380: Drum Backlash S Error: K(380),0,1125237,05/29/2013 .

I have tried to change PCDU, clean the gear position sensor & updated the firmware but still the same problem occurs .

Can anyone advise me on solving this?

You have cleaned the drum position sensor but not replaced it?
That's what I'd try next

News just came in....

My colleague have just replaced the sensor but still problem persists.

Total I have encountered 7-9 m/c with this problem.

My friend's area is the 'experiment' area, he now has replaced the drum position sensor, PCDU, updated firmware, cleaned the contact point between the PCDU & motor, checked all connectors but problem persists...

Any chance of BCU need to be changed next?

News just came in....

Have you run sp1902-001 and checked result sp1902-002? Refer to drive unit setup in your manual. However something very odd is going on here, as they just dont do this on mass.

Tried to check but no SP 1900 etc...

I do not have the m/c on hand as it is on site & based on service manual, no SP 1900 onwards...

A colleague advised on executing drum phase?

Anyone tried this before?

I am not in front of one of these either, However I just checked both versions of the service manual I have for MPC2550 and that SP is in both. It is the drum phase adjustment procedure and is no different to the procedure I have used for many other MPC models. Clearly explained in the replacement procedure for the main drive unit (which is the only time I have ever had to run this procedure).

FYI I smell an engine clear or other NV ram fiddling.
