Ricoh 3224c printing garbled print (occasionally)

    Hi guys,

Im looking for any ideas on what to look for when the print comes out garbed (wrong drivers can be a cause)

I ask this as i have a customer who have the print driver shared form a server and they sometimes get loads of blank and garbled prints coming out. The last time they had the issue we looked in the web image monitor and the job said it was 47 pages long (1 page was sent) .

This is happening on several PC's and can be on different documents and from what im told different applications.

Im going to swap hdd and memory as a matter of cause, are there any tips on what to look for?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Networking skills are advantageous but use of a 3m vacuum cleaner is essential

Make sure the drivers are correct for that model, and you haven't installed a different make or type (e.g. PS driver instead of a PCL driver). You sometimes get this when you installed a Ricoh over an old Kyocera driver. If you are sure the drivers are correct on the server side, make sure they are on the client side, then check the machine with a direct connection before you swap or buy new components.

Postscript drivers like doing this. Check the top of the first page and you should see something to do with Postscript in the printing, then you know for sure. Else it could just be the wring printer driver altogether.

For instance if you install an MP4500 driver for a MPC4500, all colour areas will print as black blocks!
      Press the GREEN button!!
