      I seen the white idlers on the older models create some squealing noises. These are on the upper cover. Not sure if the '02's are the same. Then again may be just a NZ problem....

          This issue is when the machine is sitting idle. The noise is also there when running, but it is harder to hear on account of the machine noise.

              Why don't you just pull the covers from the ADF and pinpoint the culprit?
