[Misc] Infotec/Ricoh ISC 5560 copy route differs from regular print route

We discoverd something strange (or at least to us). The LCT is filled with writing paper (our company logo).
When we print a letter, the letter comes out face down (LCT is filled face up btw). No problems here.
But we found out that when you copy something and select LCT the copies comeout face up.
That made us wonder, so we opened the machine, covererd the sensors and watched what route the paper follows. And we found out that when creating a copy the paper flow is much shorter than it is with a regular print (it for some reason has to be flipped over).

Does anybody know why a regular black/white print does not follow the same flow as a copy does? And how can we force the regular print to come out face up (thus following the short route).

Duplex is off, also it's a single sided print. So duplex should not be required.

      Hi There.

Have you had a look in the User Tools? I know it sounds stupid but in User Tools under Copier Features you can select that the copy comes out either face-up or face-down.

Also, depending on the driver that you have, you can select it in your output method that it either comes out face-up or down.

      Good luck!!

Do you mean the web image monitor or the printer properties window in Microsoft Windows? Or perhaps the menu on the device itself? Because i can't seem to find such a function. Also i would like to get the normal prints to be face up. Because it seems to be much faster in getting out copies (wich end up face up right now) rather than normal prints at the moment (wich en up face down at the moment). Considering we want to print 10.000 a day every (mili)second counts.

          Hi Raymond.

It is on the device itself. Press user tools and look for your input/output tab. You will see it will show you "eject face-up or face-down in glass mode"

And on the printing side it will be under your printer properties. Have a look at the operating instructions as well and feel free to ask us.

          Regards.
